Clearance is processed through Douanes, with the déménagement (change of residence) procedure applied where the consignee qualifies — 12 months' prior residence outside the EU, intent to settle in France, and an inventory (liste de colisage) in French with estimated values. Our French broker files the DAU and handles any demandes de renseignements before the container is released.
