We Plan Your Shipment
Once you accept your quote, we schedule your pickup date and provide you with detailed packing guidance. If you are packing your own boxes, we send you step-by-step instructions on how to pack for international transit — what materials to use, how to label boxes, and what to avoid. If you prefer professional packing, we arrange that as an add-on.
Behind the scenes, we are arranging everything: reserving your cargo space on the next available vessel, coordinating with our network of carriers and agents, and preparing all the customs documentation your shipment will need at the destination. We handle bills of lading, customs declarations, inventory lists, and any special permits required.
You will receive a detailed timeline for your shipment, including expected pickup date, vessel sailing date, estimated arrival at the destination port, and projected delivery window. We keep you informed at every stage so there are no surprises.
Pickup & Shipping
On the scheduled date, our pickup team arrives at your US address to collect your shipment. Whether you are in New York, Connecticut, California, Texas, or anywhere else in the country — we come to you. Your boxes and items are carefully loaded, inventoried, and transported to our consolidation facility.
At our facility, your cargo is securely loaded into the shipping container alongside other shipments (for co-load/mini moves) or into your dedicated container (for full container moves). Everything is documented and photographed. The container is sealed and dispatched to port.
Once the vessel departs, you receive tracking information so you can follow your shipment across the ocean. We provide updates at each major milestone: departure from US port, any transshipment points, arrival at the destination port, and release from customs.
Customs & Delivery
When your shipment arrives at the destination port, our customs brokerage partners take over. Using the documentation we prepared before departure, they file all necessary customs declarations on your behalf. If you qualify for Transfer of Residence relief or other duty exemptions, we handle those applications for you.
You do not need to visit any government offices, attend any inspections, or fill out any additional paperwork. We manage the entire customs clearance process using the power of attorney you signed before shipping. In the rare event that customs requests additional information, we coordinate directly with the authorities and keep you informed.
Once cleared through customs, we schedule final delivery to your new address. Your belongings arrive at your door, ready for you to unpack and settle into your new home. That is it — door-to-door, start to finish, handled by people who have done this thousands of times before.
